ABSTRACT
The paper describes some aspects of development and inhibition of paternal functions. Sophocles tragedy based on Hercules myth and classic myth on Oedipus as well as Parson's concept of Oedipus complex transmitted from older generation to younger one have been used for understanding the phenomena of paternal function deformation. A short clinical examples illustrate some elements of distortion and development of reparative forces in fathers and sons relationships.

Submission of electronic versions of the journal to the National Digital Library Polona and the Digital Library of Scientific Publications Academica.
