ABSTRACT
The main aim of this article is to present the basic concepts of mentalization theory. In the second part of the article, the author describes neural and neurobiological underpinnings of mentalization, prementalistic modes of thinking and assessment of mentalization.

Submission of electronic versions of the journal to the National Digital Library Polona and the Digital Library of Scientific Publications Academica.
