ABSTRACT
A review of essential aspects of Antoni Kepinski oeuvre, as perceived from personal contact and from his published works was presented. Kepinski's approach towards the fundamental questions of contemporary psychiatry was analysed. His efforts to solve a conflict between biology as the studies on life and scientific research demands were emphasised.
