ABSTRACT
It is hard to consider Professor Antoni Kepinski as a philosopher. It is beyond doubt, however, that as a man, physician, and professor he was strongly inspired by philosophy and philosophical thinking. Not only would he read philosophical treatises, but he himself contributed a lot not just to the medical, but also the philosophical and humanistic thought. Andrzej Jakubik has defined his views as personalistic. I think that philosophy of dialogue is a much more pertinent context here. My goal in this article is to demonstrate several analogies between Martin Buber, Georg Simmel, Emmanuel Levinas, Jozef Tischner, and Antoni Kepinski. In this way, I hope to present the diologicality of his work and medical practice.
