ABSTRACT
The article presents the case of short-term therapy based on Milton Erickson's and Ernest Rossi's model of hypnosis in the treatment of a psychosomatic patient, suffering from autogenic vaginal infection. The application of Ericksonian hypnosis and metaphors made it possible for the patient to find her own solution of the problem and move from catalepsy to developmental direction. Non-directive methods of communication have allowed the patient to develop healthy aspects of identification with gender and a positive sense of female identity.
